Maps from around the state of Alaska
I've found quite a few great maps online and wanted to share them with you here. A map helps me to visualize myself in a place. I can spend hours going over the diagrams and studying the maps. Especially with Google Earth you can zoom in and out, view different features and overlays. Remember to use the Tilt function and save a .kmz file to share with your friends or at googleearthhacks.com.
Google Earth and the web version at maps.google.com are an indispensable resource for planning an Alaskan Vacation. I've provided links to Google Earth files and to locations on Google Maps.
As always, if you know of a good map, please let everyone know on the Alaskan Forum.

First - GoogleEarthHacks.com is super fantastic. It's a place where people upload Google Earth Files to share. I just downloaded one of some climbers on a snowfield in the Kenai. There are also files of the Iditarod trail and the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill. Here are the files tagged with Alaska.
You can see a couple of Google Earth Slideshows of the Copper River Valley and Prince William Sound.
Alaska's Scenic Byways! - This is a recommended link for information on Alaska's beautiful highways. A must for planning a road trip.
Alaska DOT 511 information - Travel delays are a fact of life in the short Summer season. Knowing is half the battle.
