Because the real Alaska gold is the people who live, work and play in this great state, I thought it might be cool to introduce you to some of them through the magic of RSS and Blogs.
Many of these blogs are classics – from over ten years ago. If you find one that is no longer being updated, please let me know. Likewise, if you think I should include one here that isn’t listed, please let me know.
Go forth and explore – it’s the Alaskan Way.
cheers,
Newman

Hi –
I started my blog late last summer, when love brought me from San Francisco to a cabin off the Denali Hwy. Please take a look and consider adding it to your blog roll. I’m glad I found your resource — I love reading Alaska blogs!

Last summer after a visit “home” to Alaska I realized that my grandchildren have no idea of the way life was when I was growing up in Anchorage prior to and in the early years of Statehood. My website, Growing Up Anchorage.com is filled with stories of those early years. So far I have 6 other contributing authors in addition to my own stories. Check out stories such as collecting ash during the 1953 Mt. Spurr eruption, the first dance school in Anchorage, flying onto the tide flats with a broken tail wheel, first grade in a Quonset hut and Moose and a bear cub. More stories every week. I hope you add my website to your list! Thanks. Jana Ariane Nelson

Hello! Love this resource! Just moved to fairbanks with my husband and baby girl a few months ago! I started my blog to stay connected with family and friends and share stories/pictures about living in this beautiful place! I would love to be added to your site! Other mamas in AK might find my blog useful and relatable! Thank you!
