Canoe Passage State Marine Park in Prince William Sound

Kayak Island State Marine Park is 50 miles southeast of Cordova. Because of bad weather and exposure to the high seas of the Gulf of Alaska, this is one of the most secluded of the State Marine Parks in Prince William Sound. Besides peace and quiet, you will find culture significance here. Georg Steller, the german speaking companion of Vitus Bering and namesake of the Stellar Jay and Stellar Sealion, was the first european to step foot on Alaska at this spot in 1741.

It's accessable by boat and Floatplane.
