Check out the spectators, check out the dogs, and check out the musher.\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/community.adn.com\/adn\/node\/160170\">Iditarod Live: The Sled Blog : Day 5: Lanier&#8217;s gold: a dog for him or bling for her? | adn.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>How are dudes (and dudettes) doin?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/iditarod.com\/race\/musher\/?id=863\">Jim Lanier<\/a> has fallen off the lead after taking the $3,000 in gold nuggets offered for being the first musher to the halfway point.\u00a0 He is taking it easy and figuring out how to spend the loot &#8211; a new lead dog or some bling for his wife.\u00a0 Tough choice!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/iditarod.com\/race\/musher\/?id=867\">Matt Failor<\/a>: holding steady at the back of the pack in Ophir. Ah!\u00a0 And, I see that Matt is working with 4 time iditarod champion, <a href=\"http:\/\/buserdog.com\/\">Martin Buser<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seeingdoublesleddogracing.com\/\">Seeing Double Sisters<\/a>: <a href=\"http:\/\/iditarod.com\/race\/musher\/?id=842\">Kristy Berington<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/iditarod.com\/race\/musher\/?id=835\">Anna Berington<\/a>: 49 and 50th place out of\u00a0 Ophir and completed the 24 hour layover.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/iditarod.com\/race\/musher\/?id=894\">Dan Seavey<\/a>: Has got the iditarod&#8217;s 6.\u00a0 His son and grandson are rockin way up front.\u00a0 I hope that he is relaxed and breathing easy back there.
