The mighty Bald Eagle. Valdez and the rest of coastal Alaska has got plenty of them. As a matter a fact, when I arrived in Valdez, the very first thing I did, before taking my bags out of the car, my brother drove me to '10 mile' to see all the Eagles. I had never seen one before and there are 25 hanging out in a tree. A very lasting first impression of Alaska.
